East Anglian Groups Meet Up

A group across East Anglian Transition Groups met up in March for a day to meet, talk, plan, network and celebrate.

The first gathering of regional groups across Transition East Anglia brought together 50 people from 12 Transition cities, towns and villages across the region including Cambridge, Diss, Ely, Ipswich, King’s Lynn, Norwich and Woodbridge.

Open Space technology was used in the morning to set up an agenda and workshops on topics such as ‘small is not beautiful, ‘how and when to unleash’ and overcoming barriers to change.

After lunch prepared by the event hosts from Downham Market, the World Cafe approach was used to explore questions such as ‘How can we support each other in taking the next steps’.

The day also marked the launch of an online networking community for East Anglian Transition Towns – Transition East.

The next regional gathering is planned for six months time.

Thanks to Josiah from Transition Bungay for the photos.
