Suggestions Needed for the 2009 Transition Conference

2nd Transition Towns Conference
2008’s Transition Network conference attracted 200 people from across the UK and beyond to spend 2 days sharing experience, skills, ideas and inspiration at the Royal Agricultural College near Cirencester.  We are already getting emails and calls asking when the 2009 event will be so that people can put it in their diaries.  We would like to be able to pin this down quite soon, and as part of that would like your suggestions for a venue.

We have created a checklist of what we need, and wonder if anyone out there has any suggestions for a suitable place?

The list of requirements is;

  • Room for 300 people to meet comfortably, with at least 10 breakout rooms
  • The ability to feed that number of people
  • A mixture accomodation options, camping, some bedrooms, B&Bs etc.
  • Location, centralish, not too South and not too North
  • Good IT connections (ideally)
  • Be great if it had somewhere to play football!

Please email with any suggestions, and we will try and let you all have a date to put in your diaries in time for the next Transition Network News.

Rob and Ben.
